Welcome! You've found this little travel-blog I've put together for my extended bicycle touring trip. My dad and I plan to ride our electric bikes from New York City back home, outside of Atlanta, Georgia. He’s done rides like this (and even most of this route) many times before. I have not. I build web sites professionally, so I'm creating this one for posterity and to keep my skillset sharp with the kinds of web technologies I enjoy working with. I hope you enjoy reading along with our ride.
You can find a “slider” (like this one directly below) on the home page where each day will be listed in reverse chronological order. You can swipe or scroll this area to the left to find a particular day and click the day to read the full post.
Mike Skott and his dad, Myron.
A very long bicycle ride!
A winding and mostly coastal route from New York City down to around Charleston, South Carolina where we will turn inland and head back home to Atlanta, Georgia.
Because I’ve always wanted to join my dad on the road for one of his epic rides, and life is too short to spend it regreting not doing something like this while I have the time and ability.
Corinne & Cathy Skott
Without whom none of this would be possible.
My cousin,
Pam Dotson,
who taught me to cherish the time I have with the people I love.
